Virunga's guardians need your help

Virunga's guardians need your help.

Virunga National Park is Africa’s oldest and most biologically diverse protected area, home to more than 2,000 plant species, 706 bird species, and 218 mammal species. The area is also home to people.

Virunga’s Rangers work every day to protect the species of this special place, but they also work very hard to care for the communities surrounding them. So when the Park's Mount Nyiragongo erupted on May 22nd killing at least 32 people and destroying 3,000 homes and businesses nearby, it was the Rangers who were on the front lines.

Will you join us in supporting Virunga's Rangers and the surrounding communities who rely on them? The need is urgent. With power lines down, and the threat of disease outbreak rising without access to clean water, many lives are now at risk.

Through the Rapid RESCUE program established by the European Union and Re:wild, we are matching every gift to the Virunga Action Fund 2 to 1.

Let’s show the people of the DRC some true #TeamRewild support!
