Nikki Roach is a PhD student at Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on conservation biology, planning, and policy, specifically how land use and climate change impact threatened species. She has experience working across multiple taxa and ecosystems including wetlands to tropical forests. Her current research couples IUCN Red List data and field-based surveys to assess the vulnerability of amphibians and small mammals to land use and climate change in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.
